Aion 2 Dungeon Entry Guide: Requirements, Tickets, Reset Times, Reward
In Aion 2, dungeons serve as the cornerstone of character progression, offering crucial gear updates and enhancement materials. Whether you are aiming to push your Item Level to the absolute limit or simply trying to optimize your weekly routine, understanding how to manage your dungeon runs is vital. To maximize your runs, you need a thorough understanding of entry requirements, ticket management, reset windows, and specific dungeon rewards.
Dungeon Entry Requirements & Item Level Gates
Entry into Aion 2's dungeon content is primarily gated by character level and Gear Score, commonly referred to as Item Level or iLvl. Basic daily content unlocks when you hit the level 45 cap and begin completing your Journal's Duty tab. Once you step into the endgame, instances enforce strict iLvl requirements that act as hard gates for your progression:
iLvl 900: Draupnir (Expedition > Exploration). This is your initial stepping stone into serious endgame PvE.
iLvl 1000: Krao Cave (Conquest), Draupnir (Conquest), Nightmare Bosses, and Sanctum of Loathing (Ascension Trial - Easy). Reaching this threshold opens up a wider variety of core seasonal challenges.
iLvl 1200: Transcendence Stages 1–3. This tier demands a well-optimized set of starter endgame gear.
iLvl 1500: Sanctum of Loathing (Ascension Trial - Normal) and Beritra Brigade Fortress (Normal Raid). Here, coordination and solid builds become mandatory.
iLvl 1600+: Fragmented Arcana – Deus Research Base (Stages 4–6) and Vakron Sky Island. High-tier content reserved for dedicated players.
iLvl 2200: Fragmented Arcana – Deus Research Base (Stages 7–10) and Transcendence Stage 4. Currently the pinnacle of endgame challenge, requiring near-perfect gear optimization.
Dungeon Tickets & Access Items
To run dungeons beyond standard free entries, you must utilize specific Challenge Tickets. It is vital to manage these resources efficiently to prevent your tickets from capping and wasting potential progression. Keeping an eye on your inventory and understanding what each ticket does will keep you ahead of the curve:
Bio-Research Base Challenge Tickets: Used to extend entry into the Diver Bio-Research Base daily instance. You can use up to 30 extra tickets per week, making them incredibly valuable for catching up. These are commonly obtained by completing your 5 daily Duty Mission Quests.
Conquest Dungeon Challenge Tickets: Required for entering high-level PvE content like Conquest Expeditions to farm endgame materials and rare gear. Save these for when you have a solid group to guarantee successful clears.
Instant Clear Tickets: If you have completed a dungeon at least once, these allow you to instantly skip the layout and collect the rewards. This is ideal for burning remaining daily entry allocations quickly on days when you do not have much time to play.
Boss Limit Reset Tickets: Used to reset the entry limit for specific dungeon bosses. These grant extra chances at rare drops and are typically sourced via premium promotions, events, or hyper-boost tracks.
Odyle Energy: A baseline gating system that limits overall daily dungeon progression. You can craft or acquire Odyle Energy packs through subscription rewards to keep your momentum going.
Reset Times & Weekly Schedule
Aion 2 employs a split schedule handling both daily and weekly resets. Knowing exactly when the clock turns over ensures you never miss out on entry allowances or leave free resources on the table:
Daily Resets: These reset daily missions, urgent requests, ticket recharges, and scheduled event windows. If you are ever unsure how much time you have left for the day, the remaining time is clearly visible on the bottom left of your Duty menu.
Weekly Reset: Every Wednesday, the game resets core dungeon entry allowances, weekly bosses, and weekly shops. This is the most critical day of the week for a dedicated player's schedule.
Entry Tracking: Standard daily dungeons, such as Diver Bio-Research Base and Odelium Repository, provide 7 free entries per week per character. The best part is that you are not required to do them daily; you can stack and complete all 7 entries in a single day before Wednesday arrives. This provides massive flexibility for players with busy schedules. Meanwhile, weekly account-wide dungeons allow a total of 14 runs per week.
Dungeon Rewards & Drops
Different dungeons cater to specific character-growth systems. Instead of running everything blindly, you should focus on the specific instance that drops the exact resource you currently need to upgrade your character. Planning your path around your immediate bottleneck will save you time and speed up your progression significantly:
Dungeon Type / Name Core Rewards & Drops Purpose / Progression Use
Diver Bio-Research Base Up to 10,000 Enhance Stones per run Essential for upgrading your weapon and armor tiers.
Odelium Repository Pet/Mount Fragments Used to obtain and level up pets to boost character stats.
Secret Depository Choice of Enhance Stones, Pet Fragments, or Kinah Flexible resource farming based on current progression goals.
Nightmare Solo Dungeons Special Season Currency, Statues Used in the season shop to buy growth items, outfits, wings, and permanent power-boosting statues.
Ascension Trials Celentium, Aerial Trace, Stigma Shards, Mana Stones, Enhancement Stones High-level character customization and core ability slot progression.
Transcendent / Conquest Dungeons Arcana Cards Crucial for completing seasonal sets in the Arcana progression system.
Early / Standard Dungeons Green/Blue Gear, Rare Crafting Materials, Kinah Base gear sets to morph into higher tiers and materials to sell on the market.
